When I read this prompt, I wasn't sure what I was going to draw. I didn't want to go with anything big and boxy (refrigerator or stove), and we don't have a whole lot of appliances, actually. Microwave - uninspiring. Toaster - impractical to move (we need to clean the crumb tray more often). Mixer - I just have one of those handheld ones, and I'd have to get the box off the top of the refrigerator and put it together.
I couldn't think of anything else we own for a minute, and then I remembered the space heater.
One thing I didn't consider when making my choice was that it turned "draw an appliance" into "practice drawing circles." There are a couple of things I'd fix about it if I were to take a little more time, but we were going to the gym and I decided to just call it done instead of coming back to it later.
You didn't choose an easy thing to draw but I suppose that's how we learn. You have great way of picking your challenges. Very much enjoyed your excellent photography on your site.

Elza: Thank you for your kind comments. I really enjoy photography. I admit I'm kind of a dilettante.
Alex: Thank you! I decided to keep it as simple as possible since the subject was already so busy.
Nancy: Thanks! Once I committed to drawing it, I couldn't turn back!
