I'm catching up on my Every Day in May challenges - I did 106 on the correct day but didn't post it. Then this last weekend, the trucks from the Great Food Truck Race were in Denver filming the next season of the show, so our days were pretty much spent chasing them around and trying their wares. It was a lot of fun, and we got to taste some great food. Now we'll have to find a way to watch the show when it starts airing to see how our favorites did.
Anyway, on to the challenges.
I wasn't entirely happy with it when I was finished, but it's grown on me since then.
This was just a quick one this morning. Here's the thing - I don't actively seek out news. Whatever news I end up getting is from friends' postings on Facebook or Twitter, or the odd mention on blogs I follow in Google Reader (I obviously don't follow any news blogs). I realized a long time ago that if there was something going on in the world that I really needed to know about, someone would tell me. It's only become more true as social media has taken off.
Yesterday's challenge was to draw a light bulb. I actually made two attempts at this - the first one was not to my liking at all. I wasn't entirely happy with this one, either, but it looks better now that I've decided it's done. It's sometimes hard to feel happy with a drawing when I'm still in the "should I do something else to it?" stage.
So that leaves today's yet to be done. I'll post both that one and tomorrow's challenge tomorrow, and then I'll be on track again.
Awesome sketches!
