My kids were here for their spring break last week and it dovetailed nicely with the Everyday Matters prompt I pulled out of the box, which was to "Draw something that makes you happy."
I just happened to be sitting directly behind them while Emily was playing a game and Jacob was watching, so I drew them. Having them here was great - we got to spend good time together, do some fun things, and enjoy some delicious food together. And there was even room for downtime like videogame-playing.
It was a fun challenge to draw them from this perspective - behind and slightly above them. I feel like some of the figure drawing I had been doing with Posemaniacs really paid off because it wasn't as daunting as it would have been before. Which reminds me, I really should get back to doing that again.
