This prompt gave me pause for a moment, because although I have sunglasses somewhere, I would have to go looking for them. Glasses I have, but I'm getting to a point in my life where I prefer to wear them for drawing. That would present a problem for drawing them. Luckily, though, I recently ran across my old pair, so blurry drawing was averted. The old pair is a dark purple color - the only time I really branched out from boring shades of brown.
The last time I went to the eye doctor, he told me that I'd eventually find myself wearing my reading glasses more and more, and boy was he right. Somewhere in the last year or so I joined the ranks of people who hold menus and pieces of paper away from their faces to be able to read them. Next stop: bifocals. I guess this is one place where having a younger husband comes in handy - if I'm not wearing my glasses, I just hand things to him so he can read them for me. If his vision follows the same trajectory mine has, I'll have a good nine years of being able to use him like that!
Oh I am right there with you Ursula ... if I wear my specs, then I have to take them off to read. If I wear lenses, I have to wear reading glasses ... Great drawing of a difficult thing to draw :)

Sue, this in-between time is the worst! I wish it would settle in and become something that my glasses would work for all the time. Oh well, it just means I'm that woman always saying "where are my glasses?!"
Thanks for stopping by and the compliment on the drawing as well!
