Sometimes I get the feeling that I need to go somewhere to sketch. Just an itch to get out and find something that will be interesting or is worthy to be drawn. I have to remind myself that nothing really special is required; there are a million things around the house to be sketched (this is the whole premise of Everyday Matters, after all). Particularly now that we are living in a different house. Maybe the stuff inside is pretty much the same, but we've configured it in new ways. And the view out the windows is different, of course!
With that in mind, here are a couple of sketches I've done recently here at home.
This is our entertainment center. I sketched while Morgan was playing video games.
And here is the view out the window in my art room:
Looking at these again, I'm inspired to draw more views. I'll have to work my way around the house!
I have some mail to send out tomorrow, but I am hoping to make time to draw and hopefully do some collage work as well.
